Job description

Vehicle Engineering Officer needed in Tameside, £25ph  PAYE - 0008 8203 / 1

To carry out repairs and maintenance of all classes of vehicles, plant and equipment owned or operated, whilst ensuring compliance with operator licensing requirements and any other legislation to which the vehicle, plant or equipment is subject to.

• Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance to authority vehicles equipment and plant.
• Inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose faults.
• Repairing or replacing broken or defective parts and resolving defects.
• Road testing vehicles to check repairs.
• Following checklists to ensure all procedures are completed to the required standard.
• Completing all documentation to the required standard.

This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis
