Director of Capital Projects

Job description

Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Renfrewshire, is currently looking to recruit a Director of Capital Projects on a part-time basis, 2-3 days per week for a 3 month contract. This hybrid role in Renfrewshire pays a daily rate of up to £800 a day (Inside IR35).
 
Essential Skills:

 
- Hold chartered membership to a professional body associated with the built environment such as RICS, RIBA, RTPI, ICE etc.
- Proven track record of delivering capital projects at scale within a local authority
- Experience at Director (or minimum Head of Service) level within a local authority or public sector organisation
- Proven track record of understanding and navigating corporate risk
- Familiar with and has a strategic understanding of complex governance arrangements within local authorities/public sector
- Has the ability to support the development of a learning estate strategic vision and can support the production of a route map to achieve key deadlines
- Understanding of the workings of a political environment.
