Job description
At The Wise Seeker we are looking for a Technical Manager to work with one of our clients located in the UK: a food company that passionately delivers straight forward (clean & natural) nutritious sustainable plantbased food with absolutely no compromises on flavour or quality.

Team: 13 team members
Tasks
- Be the technical and compliance contact for our customers and service providers.
- Be the technical support for the growing team where required providing monthly reporting oncompliance growing pest & disease product quality customer issues and complaints
- Advise product development team of all relevant food safety guidance and legislation
- Ensure product packaging compliance
- Liaise with the Qualipak site team on all matters related to product quality and report back to the team when required
- Complete inbound product checks of all raw materials and components
- Provide additional QC support during PACKD production runs
- Manage weekly monthly quarterly and annual tasks associated with PACKD Quality Management System.
- Lead the annual BRC certification renewal audit
- Oversee the HACCP TACCP & VACCP systems
- Product & service supplier approval and management
- Corrective actions nonconformances
- Manage laboratory testing compliance finished product release recall program document control and traceability programs
- Responsible for management and development of raw material and final product specifications
- Managing the technical(at) inbox and Outlook calendar.
- Manage the Organic certification compliance and annual renewal audit
- Decision on HACCP systems TACCP/VACCP system supplier approval corrective actions nonconforming products product testing finished product release product recall document control and customer complaints.
- Full authority on all aspects of Quality Management System
Requirements
- Experience in a Quality assessing field previously
- Have a good knowledge of HACCP TACCP & VACCP systems
- Understanding of trace testing
- Strong Excel knowledge and skills
- Attention to detail quality controlling
- Experience within BRC Supply chain assurance
- Must have experience in running a QMS
- Preferable to have food industry background sampling food knowledge
- Meticulous and really organised
- Easy going laid back in personality for cultural fit
- Beneficial to have food quality certifications Worked in product testing or analysis
