We are currently seeking a dedicated and organized Repairs Team Coordinator (12 Month FTC) to join our Repairs and Maintenance department. As a Repairs Team Coordinator (12 Month FTC) , you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the repairs and maintenance activities, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
Key responsibilities of the Repairs Team Coordinator (12 Month FTC) include:
- Coordinating repairs and maintenance activities, including managing technicians and subcontractors
- To ensure such works are carried out to a high quality standard, in accordance with all health and safety legislation and within the prescribed targeted timescales
- Monitoring and appraising the performance of staff and subcontractors
- Working closely with management to develop and implement new initiatives
- Assist management with the development and introduction of new initiatives concerning methods of working
- Promote and embed the provision of a customer focused, efficient and cost effective service, achieving a quality, right first time service
- To control on a day to day basis overhead expenditure directly connected with labour, plant and materials with an emphasis on VFM
- To be responsible for the support and coordination of the technicians providing the Together Housing Group out of hours emergency rota
- Advise the Property Managers of occasions and reasons where sub contractor labour may be required. Supervise work and approve payments
- Arranging quotations from sub contractors for specialist works, coordinate with the planners in regards to placing the works order
- Ensure that at all times technicians are available in balance to effect efficient and smooth operation of the Repairs & Maintenance Section

We are looking for someone who has…
- Experience in leading a team and managing business targets
- Working knowledge of various trades
- Experience of dealing with issues of poor performance
- Ability to use IT applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, outlook
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Full current Driving Licence (and the use of own vehicle with insurance for business use if no company vehicle is provided)
- Demonstrable experience in the construction/housing sector is desirable

- Salary: £35,322 per annum
- Annual salary increment increases
- 27 days annual leave (rising to 32 over 5 years’ service) + bank holidays
