Acquired by EA in 2021, Playdemic is home to the top 10 grossing, BAFTA-winning mobile smash – Golf Clash. Having opened at the beginning of 2020, our award-winning, bespoke studio space offers conventional desk space as well as indulgent breakout areas, meeting rooms and alternative workspaces. The office has been ridgeline-designed to create an environment that encourages and allows our team to do their very best work. We're looking for a Designer to come and work on the globally successful game, Golf Clash! As a Designer within the Golf Clash team at Playdemic reporting to the Game Design Director, you will work with Production, Designers, Artists, and other content creators to produce designs and input data for our weekly releases. You will share frequent updates with your peers and other design team members. Responsibilities: Feature Planning: Collaborative ideation of new game features and systems. Efficient and legible documentation of features. Collaborate with the product management team to prioritise feature development. Work with the development team to ensure features are developed in line with design. Skills: Experience working in a Game development studio. Experience working on a live game with a experience working on feature design within the constraints of a release schedule. Prior work experience with game databases and data structures. Excel experience, especially concerning balancing game systems. Technical knowledge of game development tools including Confluence and JIRA. Bonus Skills: Prior experience working in a Mobile Game Development Studio. Experience supporting games, with a significant user base, through maintenance, new feature deployment and live operations. Interest in mobile games, with an understanding of the free-to-play genre. Educated to degree level in a game design related subject, or equivalent experience.
