Whole School Principal - India | IMMEDIATE Interview | IB School
I am looking for an experienced, dynamic principal to lead our IB international school in Hyderabad, India. As principal, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of running a world-class IB school serving students in grades K-12.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide visionary leadership and direction for the school aligned with IB philosophy and standards
- Oversee all academic programs and curricula following IB frameworks
- Hire, mentor, evaluate and develop an outstanding faculty and staff
- Foster a positive school culture centred on the IB learner profile traits
- Manage budgets, facilities, admissions, recruitment and day-to-day operations
- Enforce policies and procedures to ensure a safe, inclusive learning environment
- Partner with the board of directors to develop strategic goals and growth plans
- Represent the school to parents, the community and the IB organization
- Promote the school locally and globally to attract top students and faculty
Requirements:
- A teaching qualification such as a B.Ed/Dip Ed/Dip Teaching/PGCE.
- Master's degree in Education or related field (doctorate preferred)
- 3-7+ years experience as an administrator in an IB school
- Must be trained from a recognised university
- Must have a high command of written and spoken English
- Prefer candidates with international experience. Especially IB Schools in India
- Lead teacher Experience.
- Experience in Managing/Teaching International British Curriculum / English National Curriculum.
- Experience with the thematic curriculum is an asset.
- Line management of teaching/assistant staff from different nationalities and cultures.
- Experience of working in new schools with moderate resources (the school is in its 7th year of operating).
- Experience working in different school cultures and settings.
- In-depth knowledge of IB curricula, standards and assessments
- Experience with IB authorization and evaluation processes
- Record of success improving student achievement and outcomes
- Strong budget management and resource allocation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Passionate about international-mindedness and the IB mission
Salary Package
- TAX-FREE salary of US$ 80,000 per annum paid in Indian Rupees
