We are looking for a dedicated, dynamic and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Retail/Hospitality Assistant.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about delivering excellent customer service, have a keen eye for detail and possess strong communication skills.
This position involves assisting customers, maintaining store appearance, supporting various retail operations and assisting in the smooth running of our match day hospitality..
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide product information, answer inquiries and offer recommendations.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns with a positive and solutions-oriented approach.
- Process customer transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems.
- Restock merchandise and ensure shelves are well organised and visually appealing.
- Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or discrepancies.
- Ensure the store is clean, organised and visually appealing to customers.
- Merchandise products according to company guidelines and promotions.
- Work collaboratively with team members to maintain a positive work environment.
- Provide support during busy periods and assist colleagues as needed.
- Stay informed about product features, benefits and promotions.
- Process cash and card transactions accurately and reconcile the cash register at the end of each shift.
- Follow security procedures to prevent theft and maintain a safe shopping environment.
- Assist in match day hospitality.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high pressure situations.
- Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Basic math skills and proficiency in handling cash transactions.
- Strong communication and active listening abilities.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Previous bar/restaurant experience.
Desirable Skills
- Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
- Manual handling training.
- POS experience.

Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer.
Salary: 16/17yrs £5.28, 18/20yrs £7.49, 21/22yrs £10.18, 23/24yrs £10.42 per hour
