Job description

My client a well established engineering company is currently seeking a skilled Welder to join their team. As a Welder, you will be responsible for using hand and power tools to weld and fabricate metal components. The ideal candidate will have experience with MIG welding, sheet metal, and possess basic math skills. If you are detail-oriented, have mechanical knowledge, and enjoy working with your hands, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

• Perform welding tasks using various techniques such as MIG welding
• Read and interpret blueprints and welding specifications
• Assemble and fabricate metal components
• Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and weld metal pieces
• Inspect welds for quality and make necessary adjustments
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Welder or similar role
• Proficient in stick welding techniques
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding specifications
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
• Mechanical knowledge for equipment setup and maintenance

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Temp to perm

Salary: From £12.00 per hour
