Job description
EK Outreach Services are a provision for 5-25 years old who are not currently accessing education for variety of reasons. We are looking for a Head of Maths.
This is an exciting opportunity for qualified teachers (QTS required) who believe they have what it takes to lead our staff in an inclusive curriculum to help our students succeed. Previous experience as Head and/or exams/curriculum management is required.
We provide educational services to children and young people who are not currently accessing education for a variety of reasons. Our vision is to find and nurture each young person’s unique abilities and interests, using a range of all our skills and facilities, to create a bespoke learning package for each individual. We have experience in delivering educational packages, including pre-entry, entry level, GCSE and up to A Levels, while supporting social development and mental well-being.
We are going through an extensive growth period and are looking to appoint staff who are passionate about their subject areas, to work with our amazing pupils who have a variety of needs.
We are looking for a dynamic and fully qualified teacher who is grounded in modern pedagogy and tested teaching methods and can offer the very best teaching and learning to our pupils to ensure they achieve the excellent outcomes that they deserve and to help guide our staff to ensure this is done throughout our provision, you must have the ability to teach GCSE and A-Level Maths. The main responsibilities for the role will include, but not limited to:
- Be responsible for the learning and achievement of all students you directly work with but also across the provision ensuring equality and inclusivity of opportunity for all.
- Work proactively and effectively in collaboration and partnership learners, parents/careers, leadership team and other staff in the best interests of our students.
- Complete all relevant documentation to record and share both the academic and personal development of your students.
- Be responsible for the registration, assessment, internal and external moderation and coordination of all Maths qualifications being sat.
- To implement, maintain and make changes as needed to the Maths curriculum across the provision.
This is a full-time role Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.
We are fully committed to working with our staff to extend their qualifications and knowledge with a large annual CPD program.
Previous experience working with special needs students is preferable but not essential. To be successful, your application should show your commitment, knowledge and passion for working with children from all types of backgrounds, with different types of needs.
