Job description
The team is managed by very experienced and knowledgeable staff, who will be able to give the successful candidate the necessary support and training.
The safeguarding team provide high quality, effective safeguarding and pastoral support across the academy and you will be expected to add value to the team. You would also have responsibility for maintaining accurate records, working with staff, students, parents and external agencies to ensure appropriate plans and strategies are in place to support students and their families.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about safeguarding young people, is caring and supportive, and who is not afraid to be an advocate for students when necessary.
This is a demanding position and is not for the faint hearted. You will need to be resilient, a quick learner and able to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders. Confidentiality is of the utmost importance in this role.
Our most recent GCSE results demonstrate significant improvement in performance, placing the school in the top 20% nationally for student progress.
Langdon Academy is a large 4-16 school, with over 1700 students in the secondary phase, and is part of Brampton Manor Trust, along with Brampton Manor Academy, who have an enviable reputation both locally and nationally.
