The Community Care Assistant role is different every day. This is an ideal role for someone who likes being in different environments and is willing to travel when in work.

Pat is a Community Care Assistant for Clifton Homecare. She regularly tells people she loves her job. She joined having returned from living in Spain and comes to work each day looking forward to the day ahead. Clifton Homecare are looking for care workers like Pat who are just as passionate.
Pat usually works 35 - 40 hours a week, supporting a number of regular clients to remain living independently and living their best lives at home. Pat says it feels like a privilege that she is able to build relationships with her clients, who she often feels are like her friends. She feels that she gets so much more out of the work that she puts in and it doesn’t even feel like she is coming to work.
A client who she sees on a regular basis is Winnie. Pat helps Winnie with aspects of personal care, her medication needs, preparation of meals and drinks and general help around the home. Winnie says this about Pat: “I look forward to Pat visiting me. She has my regular carer for a couple of year's now and I depend on her so much. She treats me like her own Mum, always showing me kindness and respect. She helps me to be able to stay at home and I am very grateful to her and Clifton Homecare for this.”
Pat often tells people that she loves her job. She often says it's the most rewarding job she has ever had and wishes she had discovered social care sooner. She says:
"It's very rewarding. There's never a day goes by when you're not laughing. When you bond with clients, it's like going to see a family member."
A range of training courses are provided by our internal trainers, these will be mainly face to face with som e-learning courses to also complete. All new starters receive a comprehensive induction period, consiting of classroom based and in the field training. All new starters are supported with mentoring sessions also.
The level 2 Adult care worker Apprenticeship takes approximately 12 months to complete and will consist of assignment type work; some of which can be completed via audio and observation. Off the job learning will include a variety of training such as face to face classrtoom delivery, 1:1 developmental sessions, webinar attendance, conference attendance and much more. Functional skills if required.
Level 3 - Lead Adult Care Worker, through to Level 4, 5 and level 7 (Foundation Degree - Assistant Practitioner); Senior care worker, Assistant Manager, Registered Manager, Quality Assurance Manager, Mentor and Lead Mentor
