Leading company in the design, manufacture and installation of Steel Process Machinery. Due to rapid project and after-market growth, a new opportunity for a Mechancial Designer has arisen. You will have the ability to take control of small projects and deliver quality engineering solutions.

£45,000 - £55,000 + Pension, Overtime, Bonus & Healthcare

Senior Mechanical Engineer - The Role:
Design and conceptual work for a range of special purpose machinery as well as ancillary handling equipment
Create mechanical drawings to industry standards for manufacturing purposes
Make design decisions; tolerances and bearings, not simply detailing work
Work alongside the Chief Engineer to ensure engineering deadlines are met
Collaborate with different departments of the company, ensuring engineering requirements are achieved in accordance with contract commitments
Provide engineering support to overseas manufacturers right through to client handover
Liaise with clients and suppliers
Senior Mechanical Engineer - The Person:
Considerable experience of Mechanical Engineering
Ability to control small projects to deliver quality engineering solutions and drawings
Experience in metal processing industry for heavy capital equipment is essential
Demonstrate ability to work in an engineering drawing office
Experience working on design projects from conceptualisation through manufacture and delivery
AutoCAD 2D and 3D modelling
Knowledge of hydraulics and electrics is benefical
Degree or HNC qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar
Located in West Midlands, this role would be commutable from Dudley, Kidderminster, Telford, Cannock and surrounding areas.
