Job description
The ideal candidate will have good bookkeeping skils to enable them to keep our accounts in order and keep the trustee board up to date with our financial position
What will you be doing?As the District Scout Council's treasurer you will be a key member of the Trustee Board. The main tasks are keeping the accounts in order, paying any bills, general keeping track and balancing the books, presenting them regularly to the trustee board, currently bi-monthly. Making sure the annual accounts are completed and independently examined in time for our Annual General Meeting, and filing the necessary returns with the Charity Commission.
What are we looking for?Good bookkeeping experience. Accountancy qualifications are not necessary for this role but accountancy connections would be a bonus.
What difference will you make?The treasurer role is vital in ensuring the smooth financial running of our Scout District, you will be making a difference by ensuring we have the funds to provide scouting activities to our young people and support our volunteer leaders in providing those opportunities.
