Job description
We are seeking a Bookkeeper/Office Manager to join a team based in Plymouth. Salary & Terms * Work schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday. * Salary between £50,000 - £55,000 a year depending on experience. * Flexible Work Arrangements: The company promotes a flexible work environment, including options for remote work or flexible hours when appropriate. Role & Responsibilities * Financial Management: Handle financial transactions, monitor budgets, and prepare reports. * Payroll and Benefits: Process payroll, manage employee benefits, and maintain records. * Vendor and Contract Management: Oversee IT vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance. * Office Administration: Manage office operations, supplies, and communications. * Bookkeeping and Accounting: Record financial transactions and reconcile accounts. * IT Asset Management: Maintain inventory and track IT assets. * Data Entry and Recordkeeping: Enter and organize data and documentation. * Project Support: Assist in coordinating and tracking IT projects. * Office Technology Support: Collaborate with IT support for technical issues. * Compliance and Security: Ensure adherence to IT policies and data security. * HR Support: Assist with recruitment and employee records. * Meeting and Event Coordination: Organize IT team meetings and events. * Continuous Improvement: Identify efficiency measures and stay updated on industry trends. Required Skills * A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field is typically preferred. * Familiarity with accounting software and tools, such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
