Overview
Our client is currently hiring for an experienced individual to oversee the processing of payrolls, CIS returns, improve process and manage a payroll assistant, with accounts practice experience.
Responsibilities
- Oversee processing of all payrolls within relevant deadlines, including timely RTI submissions to HMRC – weekly, 4-weekly, monthly and annual payrolls
- Preparation and submission of CIS returns and EPS’ for CIS suffered on a monthly basis, along with reconciliation of amounts due to HMRC
- Implement and improve payroll processes, staying up to date with best practices, payroll developments, and legal obligations
- Process relevant documents for starters and leavers, and year end
- Ensure compliance with Auto Enrolment Regulations and understand company pension processes
- Manage workload independently and oversee workflow of payroll assistant
- Resolve payroll and pension queries from managers and clients
- Collaborate with the accounts team, providing timely information for accounts production
- Work in alignment with the company’s core values
Key qualifications & experience
- Proven payroll experience within a practice is essential for this role
- Experience of working within a similar role within an Accountant Practice
- Be personable, able to interact and work with all levels in the company
- IT literate, including strong Excel and database skills, Outlook and Word
- Experience with Xero systems is massively advantageous
- Knowledge of all PAYE processes and documentation including P11d and end of year procedures and RTI
- Knowledge of Pension Regulations and associated reporting and compliance
- Proven experiences of working well in a team – handover periods etc
SALARY 35 – 38K
