Axcis Education is pleased to be working on behalf of a reputable school in Huddersfield that specializes in providing support for students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school boasts excellent transport links and has been rated "Good" by Ofsted.
About the Role:
As an SEMH Classroom Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and well-being of students with SEMH needs. You will work closely with the teaching staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. This role involves providing one-to-one support, assisting with classroom activities, and implementing strategies to help students overcome barriers to learning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individualized support to students with SEMH needs.
• Assist in the implementation of behaviour management strategies.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to create and deliver engaging lessons.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Monitor and report on the progress of students.
Requirements:
• Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• A passion for supporting the education and well-being of students.
