Job description

Robert Half are working exclusively with an growing, private equity backed manufacturing business based in Gillingham, Kent. They are looking for a Head of Finance to join their growing team and to take ownership of their financial function as well as working closely with senior leaders of the business regarding business strategy.

Role: Head of finance

As the Head of Finance, you will lead the finance function of the business, supporting the Managing Director and the Investor, as necessary.

Oversight of the financial management and control of the business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead the finance team of 4, providing commercial insight and reporting.
• Play a key role in the achievement of the annual Budget and 3 Year Plan as well as developing and controlling the company's annual operating budget to ensure that all financial targets are met.
• Proactive forecast cash flow / treasury management, bank and KPI reporting.
• Support to the wider business to ensure there is a focus on the key KPIs and drivers.
• Work with the MD and other business heads to drive the usage and implementation of standardised finance and commercial systems.
• This is as commercial a role as it is technical, as you will recommend any changes necessary to improve the company's financial performance and financial controls.

Profile

For the Head of Finance position for the Private equity backed manufacturing company based in Gillingham, Kent you must meet the following criteria;

• Working closely with senior stakeholders on financial decisions
• Someone who's had at least 5 years' experience in a similar role
• Hands on experience with management reporting and financial analysis
• Evidence of commercial awareness

Company

Based in Gillingham, Kent, the Private equity backed manufacturing business are going through a growth period and are looking for a new Head of Finance to help with the strategy and grow side of the business whilst also heading up the financial function of the business. The business is split into two parts of contracts and manufacturing and turns over roughly 10million.

Salary & Benefits

Salary is bench marked between £70,000 - £75,000 depending on experience. Additionally, there is a Discretionary bonus and hybrid working.
