We have an exciting new job opportunity for a Junior SQL Developer to join a very successful eCommerce company with an extensive, specialist product range that is available on all digital shopping platforms across the world.

Location of the job Hybrid role, office & remote. Office location is the town of Harlow, Essex ( 30 minutes NE of London). 4 days a week in the office, 1 day remote (after probation)

Job responsibilities of the SQL Developer Your role as
SQL Developer will mostly be to work with the Senior Developers to maintain, update, develop and improve the company databases & reporting (web, back-office system and other). You will aim to research and implement system processes with the goal of achieving maximum automation.
Your job will typically cover the following duties and responsibilities:
- Administration & support for the company ERP – includes set-ups, maintenance, troubleshooting, version testing, integrations, enhancements
- Adhering to Change and Release Management processes
- Reporting/Statistics – report building and maintenance (SSRS, SSAS, MS Access, Excel, Power BI)
- Carrier Integrations – maintain, troubleshoot, and improve order dispatch systems and order tracking information
- Writing clear and concise technical specifications based upon business requirements
- Provide support for SQL server upgrades and hardware enhancement strategies
- Address and resolve issues or incidents as they arise
- Managing database users and overseeing identity and user access controls
- Maintenance, preparation, and support of data feeds/downloads with our Web site
- Explore new technologies to achieve optimal solutions and work on technology projects outside of the core SQL/database remit.
The successful candidate background
- Experience working in similar roles
- Good knowledge of MS SQL Server, Visual Studio, C#, .NET Framework
- Knowledge of Web API’s / Web Services
- Knowledge of Microsoft SSRS, SSIS & SSAS
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI
- Experience working in SQL Server Production Environments
- Experience with database backups, restore and maintenance activities
- Experience with T-SQL scripting
- Understanding SQL Server architecture and database design/layout
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- YOU MUST HAVE YOUR OWN CAR/TRANSPORT TO TRAVEL TO THE OFFICE - ESSENTIAL
Salary, benefits and working hours
Starting from £30,000 +. Monday to Friday – 8:30am to 5.00pm with some Saturdays, Sundays, Bank Holidays, and flexible working hours during our peak periods.
You will also be included in the company 'out of hours' emergency on-call rotas, so it is essential that you have your own transport and can reach the Harlow offices within 40 minutes
