Find out if a career in care is right for you – take our short quiz here Job Advert Role Description Support Worker - Eating Disorders - £11.20ph This fantastic opportunity will be based at Althea Park House , our 7-bedded Victorian Town House residential home located in Stroud, which provides a home from home care setting for males and females, aged 17 - 24, with an eating disorder. The site also includes The Anchor, our 3-bedded Semi-Independent Step-Down home. This provision is part of Priory’s Transitional Living Services for Young People and Young Adults, offering individuals the best possible care in their recovery journey.
We can offer you the support and training you need from beginning your career in healthcare to working your way to your next advancement, we can provide both fully funded study support and training to help you form the career you want. We offer very specific training around the role, including a 4-day Eating Disorders Course.
The shifts are:
Early Shift: 7.30am-3.30pm
Late Shift: 2.30pm-10.30pm
Waking Night shift: 10pm-8am To be successful, you will need:
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work flexibility
- Basic Literacy skills
- Common sense approach to problem solving.
- Some appreciation of Mental Health problems
- Enthusiastic approach to activities and skill building
- NVQ or equivalent would be an advantage.
