Your Responsibilities:
This role would be within the Care Home & Education sectors, as such, key duties may change slightly from role-to-role but will largely include the following:
- Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals, ensuring adherence to dietary requirements and quality standards set by the Catering Manager or Head Chef.
- Serving Customers: Provide friendly and efficient service to clients and guests while serving from a counter, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere during meal times.
- Hygiene Maintenance: Operation of dishwashers and other cleaning equipment including sweeping and mopping floors and ensuring surfaces are always left clean.
- Stock Management: Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock rotation, and report any discrepancies or shortages promptly.
What We're Looking For:
- DBS Certificate: This role would require the candidate to possess an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) Check. If you don't hold one currently, we can help you obtain one.
- Allergen Certificate: The Candidate would be required to obtain a Free Allergen Awareness Certificate through the .gov website.
- A Valid Minimum of Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate: We can also help you to get this is if you don't possess this.
- Enthusiasm and Adaptability: Display a positive attitude and willingness to learn, regardless of previous catering experience.
- Team Player: Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver exceptional service and support each other in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliability: Demonstrate punctuality and dependability, ensuring smooth operations during scheduled shifts.
