Position: Business Development Executive Summary: This position is primarily responsible for the market development and customer growth of our
POPCAKE COMMERCIAL & ASHWOOD’S business
through a combination of sales prospecting & sales presentations & proprietary equipment placement.
The role is based in our Rochester, Kent office. Primary duties and responsibilities: - Researching and identifying key opportunities, developing individual target accounts, establishing initial customer contacts, delivering over-the-phone and on-line sales presentations & product demonstrations with all key decision makers (General Managers, Executive chefs, F&B Directors, Purchasing managers etc.).
- Processing new sales opportunities through outbound cold calling & inbound lead follow-up to grow our installed customer base of foodservice accounts globally.
- Closing the sale and placement of Free-on-Loan (FOL) equipment, coordinating the commissioning of the related equipment ( Pancake machines, warmers, jam dispensers, honey displays ) with our Customer Service Team, work with chefs and F&B operators on how best to present and use our products to maximise sales.
- Achieve quarterly results in line with the Company’s annual sales objectives & personal KPIs.
- In a disciplined manner maintain accurate customer data and record relevant customer contact activity in the Company’s CRM.
- Typical Customers: Marriott hotels, Hilton hotels, Accor Hotels, IHG Hotels, independent hotels as well asHotel Management Groups, Airline Lounges, Education ( Schools, Colleges), Healthcare (Assisted living) and all suitable foodservice operators specifically specialising in the Buffet breakfast space.
- Networking within the Hotel, Hospitality and Food & Beverage industries, proactively using LinkedIn to develop relationships, build networks and drive overall business development.
Experience: - 2+ years business development & telesales experience in a related HoReCa sales field
- Proven sales experience with a demonstrable track record of success

Computer Skills : - Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
- Proficient with web-based presentation tools.
- Experience with working with Zoho CRM or a similar CRM platform
Other Requirements: - Strong phone presence, with ability to close deals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise time efficiently & effectively.
- The role is based in our Rochester,Kent UK office. Your own transport is required to get to the office, free parking is available.
