As a General Practitioner (GP), you will hold a pivotal role in providing comprehensive medical care to community members of all ages. This primary healthcare position involves assessing patient health, diagnosing a wide range of conditions, and formulating treatment plans to promote overall well-being. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine check-ups to assess patients’ health and monitor chronic conditions.
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of health conditions, including illnesses and injuries.
- Prescribe and review medication as part of patient treatment plans.
- Order and interpret tests to aid in diagnosing and understanding patients' health conditions.
- Provide personalised advice on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
- Maintain patient records accurately and confidentially.
- Liaise with healthcare professionals and support staff to provide coordinated care.
- Be approachable and empathetic towards patients, providing them with reassurance and support.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A Medical degree and a completed residency in General Practice.
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- Proven experience in general practice or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage sensitive situations with empathy.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Skills:
- A special interest in a particular area of general practice (e.g., women’s health, paediatrics).
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
