We are currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as a Ramp Trainer at UK's second largest International Airport. Come join our wonderful team at Gatwick Airport.

Join us as a Ramp Trainer where you will be able to explore a world full of opportunities working here at the Airport. You will be meeting people from all over the world, where you will be part of the most vital part of these passengers' journeys, by making sure they get to their destination safely.

Working as a member of the Gatwick, you will be responsible for the planning and delivery of all ramp training to meet and exceed the mandated standards required by the client and Wilson James. This includes delivering familiarisation and instruction in the driving of a variety of minibuses and specialist Ambilift vehicles used on the airfield to industry standards. The training and testing of learners to meet the standard required to gain an Airside driving permit and all ramp[1]based training to carry out the role of the Ramp operative.

The Role  

Exciting and rewarding, a typical day in the life as a Ramp Trainer: 

 

• Deliver vehicle and ramp training in accordance with the demands of the operation to ensure sufficient drivers trained to the correct standards across the operation.
• Deliver engaging and timely training to support the business needs, all training delivered is to be supported by the annual training plan.
• Facilitate wider operational training (OSTRUM control system/EHS/Terminal electric vehicles).
• Attend training courses relative your role or new equipment.
• Be proactive in seeking initiatives and ideas that may enhance the operation.

Essential

• Must be familiar with PRM operations at LGW with experience working vehicles in the ramp environment.
• Formal training qualifications.
• Experienced training provider with learning and development qualifications.
• Excellent communicator.
• Ability to plan and execute demanding and engaging training.
• Familiarity with terminal airside operations and AIRDAT.
• Experienced with using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint presentation.
• Gatwick Airside driver permit holder.
• Background in working with people with visible and hidden disabilities.

Qualifications and Licenses

Essential

• HGV licence
• Full Driving Licence
• Training delivery qualification – Level 3 Education & Learning

Desirable

• Training delivery qualification – Level 3 Manual Handling
• RTITB or equivalent LGV instructor
