Job description
Hrgo are seeking a Trainee Customs Clearance Clerk for our Client based in the Dover area. Good analytical and excellent organisational skills are essential, and you must work in a methodical manner and be able to respond effectively to enquiries. This role will suit a candidate that has an interest within the transport and customs clearance industry. Full training and support will be given for this position.
Duties include:
Calculating Duty / VAT cost for each consignment
Processing Import/Export declarations
Dealing with general enquiries from importers / exporters concerning all areas, relating to Customs Procedures, Tariff Classifications, Duty Rates and any other documentation requirements
Keeping up to date with changes in regulations, laws and customs procedures
Hours
Week 1 = 60 Hours Monday and Tuesday day shift - 12 Hour shifts
Friday, Saturday and Sunday night shift - 12 Hour shifts
Week 2 - 24 Hours Wednesday and Thursday day shift - 12 Hour shift
Week 3 - 60 Hours Monday and Tuesday night shift - 12 Hour shifts
Friday, Saturday and Sunday day shift - 12 Hours
Week 4 - 24 Hours Wednesday and Thursday night shift - 12 Hour shifts
