Job description
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide timely, reliable and relevant financial information to the finance and business stakeholders both locally and at a corporate level.
- Provide financial information and appropriate explanations to assist key stakeholders to understand financial figures within the context of their role
* Support the system inputs for budgets, forecasts and other financial plans for local and corporate stakeholder review.
* Support the maintenance of financial systems integrity on an ongoing basis.
* Support the maintenance and accuracy of the relevant sections of the income statement & balance sheet statement on an ongoing basis.
* Develop technical knowledge and experience of current accounting and financial practices to comply with internal and external accounting practices and requirements.
* Active member of the Finance team to share knowledge and best practice as appropriate to ensure adequate cover and increase knowledge within the team.
REQUIREMENTS
- Part qualified accountant with knowledge of UK GAAP
- Accounting systems knowledge and experience e.g. SAP, SAP Analytics Cloud/Analysis for Office (AFO), strong Excel and Powerpoint skills
- Strong 'can do' attitude
- Agility and willingness to learn
- Ability to prioritise workload
- Strong communication skills. Able to explain finance topics to non-finance colleagues
- Enjoys working as part of a team
