Trustee opportunities at the grant making charity Bedgebury Foundation
What will you be doing?The board has identified a need to recruit two trustees to enable smooth succession on the board and sub committees of the charity. It is hoped new Trustees will join the board by Autumn 2024
New Trustees will need to be highly engaged in all the activities of Bedgebury Foundation and recognise the time commitment required for a Trustee of a grant making charity.
What are we looking for?We are looking for at least two Trustees and expertise is required in:
Educating those least able to access the mainstream curriculum, this ideally would be SEND experience and could be in SpLD, Speech and Language, Trauma, or other areas.
Investment management and/or general financial management
What difference will you make?Ultimately the Trustees can expect to make a difference to young people across Kent and East Sussex who are struggling to engage with education. All Trustees contribute to grantmaking strategy looking for the best options to support young people. With educational expertise you will be considering the value and likely outcomes of applications from schools and charities and making Board recommendations. With finance expertise you will be guiding income generation through investments to maximise the amounts available for grant making.
