The main responsibility of this role is to help organise and deliver comprehensivetechnical support for the Oyster World Rally.

The role holder will form part of a Technical Support Team for theduration of each Rally working alongside the Oyster World Rally event team.

This role will also provide support and expertise to the Oyster CommissioningTeam, helping on a day-to-day basis and at the point of final hand over to newowners.

KeyJob Responsibilities

Oyster World Rally

· Act as asingle point of contact for Oyster owners with technical difficulties whilstin an overseas destination during the Oyster World Rally.

· Work collaboratively alongside the otherRally technicians and tradespeople whilst in the field, to resolve issues, respondto owner enquiries and provide excellent customer service.

· To undertake technical diagnosis of issuesto ascertain fault either on the ground or remotely and organise resolution.

· Work with global partners/suppliers that support the Oyster WorldRally to ensure the provision of resource and parts in conjunction with OysterAfter Sales, where applicable.

· Build and maintain strong working relations with Oyster Yacht ownerson the Rally.

· Provide clear, effective and comprehensive communication to the yachtowners on technical issue support and resolution.

· Liaise with the Oyster Warranty team to ensure that yachts inwarranty are provided for by the respective team.

· Keep up to date records of all technical support provided duringeach rally destination.

· Support the Commissioning Skippers with a variety of activitiesin the commissioning process of Oyster Yachts including, but not limited to, riginstallation, sea trials and yacht deliveries.

· Provide expertise to the Commissioning Team in testing andidentifying issues on new yachts, providing solutions and ensuring remedialaction is taken.

· Ensure all relevant build and test documentation is filled outcorrectly and recorded as per company guidelines.

· Work with build yards to feedback issues to ensure timelyresolutions, moving forwards.

· Liaise with the Production, Design and Quality Departments toensure ongoing continuous improvement.

General

· Adherenceto all Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, Company policy andprocedure.

· Keepup to date on new technologies and systems.

Requirements

Knowledge,Skills, Experience and Qualifications required to perform the role

Knowledge

· Extensive and practical workingknowledge of engineering, electrical and technical systems on modern sailingyachts.

· Comprehensive understanding of Oyster Yachts and theirin-house systems, (Desirable).

· Good knowledge of riggingsystems and setup.

· Good knowledge of mechanical systemsincluding diesel engines, generators and water makers.

· Familiarity with MarineNavigation systems (B&G/Raymarine).

Skills

· Competent user of Microsoftoffice products: Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.

· Organisational and planningskills.

· Good communications skills,specifically written for detailed reports covering technical issues,resolution and recommendations.

Experience

· Proven experience in a marinetechnical support role.

· Customer facing experience,preferably with high-net-worth individuals.

· Experience of remoteinternational/overseas working.

· Sailing experience, ideally onyachts over 50ft.

· Significant sea-time would bepreferable.

Qualifications

Preferablywith a City and Guilds (or equivalent) in:

· Electrical and Electronics FaultFinding.

Anadvantage would be:

· VHF and SSB/Long Range RadioLicenses.

· Ability to work well under pressure.

OtherRequirements

· Current passport without travellimitations.

· Full, clean UK/European Drivinglicense.

· Must be able to travel overseasand be comfortable doing so for up to 2 months at a time.

· Be prepared to work unsocialhours in remote locations, as situations require.
