This central government organisation seeking 2 locum lawyers to join their strong in-house offering. Cases are varied and this client has a brilliant (and proven!) track record bringing in strong litigators from diverse areas of the law and training them in this new field.Daily activities will include:
* Conducting litigation on behalf of central government, whilst managing a caseload to a high standard * Providing legal advice on litigation, disputes, contentious and some advisory matters related to the statutory function
* Supporting the Team Leaders, Head of Litigation, and Deputy Director in successfully delivering the work of the team
* Proactive and collaborative working with external partners
* Support clients investigating professionals and individuals
* Act as instructing solicitor in relation to interim and final hearings.
To undertake this role you must possess excellent technical legal skills, commensurate with post-qualification experience. You have to display an ability to work at pace and meet challenging deadlines, which requires you to be flexible/adaptable, setting priorities as the workload and focus of the teams within your area change.
