Senior Manager – SEND and Inclusion

Salary: £76,620 - £79,346

Hours: 37

Location: Penrith, Kendal or Barrow

Contract: Permanent

About this opportunity

We require an effective leader responsible for the strategic leadership for and the management of SEND and Inclusion services to ensure that the needs of children and young people in the local area are understood, identified and met. A leader to ensure accurate assessment, planning and support for children with special educational needs. A person focussed on continuous improvement with the passion and credibility to lead in a multi-agency setting.

A senior leader who is:

• an expert in Special Educational Needs and Disability, with an extensive knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and co-producing with partners
• rigorous and methodical in the delivery of the local authority’s statutory duties, ensuring that services perform effectively
• innovative and creative in the development and delivery of support and provision
• able to communicate effectively with providers, partners and parents
• passionate about co-production and multi-agency working
• compassionate, collaborative and personable.

DBS

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 and requires an enhanced DBS check with a Children’s Barred List check.

Please note this role involves working in regulated activity with Children. It is an offence for people who are barred from working in regulated activity to apply for roles that require them to work unsupervised with Children.
