Job Description



As the Accommodation Manager at Skyborne Airline Academy you will play a crucial role in providing a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for our trainees. You will oversee the day to day operations of our trainee accommodation facilities, ensuring that they are well maintained and that the needs of our trainees are met.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  1. Manage all aspects of accommodation facilities, including rooms, common areas and technical rooms
  2. Coordinate check-ins, check outs and room assignment for trainees in collaboration with Skyborne staff
  3. Maintain a clean and organised living environment through regular inspections and housekeeping services
  4. Act as the primary point of contact for trainees staying in the accommodation
  5. Address and resolve any concerns, issues or requests from trainees promptly and professionally
  6. Oversee maintenance and repairs, coordinating with maintenance staff or external contractors as required
  7. Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  8. Manage inventory and order supplies to maintain adequate stock levels
  9. Develop and manage the accommodation budget, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective operations
  10. Provide input for budget planning and forecasting related to accommodation services
  11. Recruit, train and supervise accommodation staff, including housekeeping and maintenance personnel
  12. Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and excellent customer service
  13. Generate regular reports on occupancy rates, maintenance activities and trainee feedback
  14. Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth communications and coordination

This position will involve working outside of standard office hours including weekends

Qualifications

  1. Proven experience in accommodation management or a similar role
  2. Strong organisational and problem solving skills
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  4. Familiarity with health and safety regulations and accommodation industry best practices

Experience in Microsoft Office 365 and property management software

Additional Information



Full time (40 hours a week)
