Job Description:

As a Dental Receptionist with our Dental Practice, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Patient Reception and Communication:

• Greet patients warmly and provide a friendly and professional first impression of the practice.
• Schedule appointments, answer phone calls, and respond to patient inquiries in a timely and courteous manner.
• Check in patients, verify their information and update their records as necessary.
• Provide accurate and clear information to patients regarding treatment plans, financial arrangements, and insurance coverage.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle patient information with care and sensitivity.

Administrative Support:

• Manage the front desk area, ensuring a clean and organized reception area.
• Coordinate patient flow and appointment scheduling to optimize the practice's efficiency.
• Process patient registrations, insurance forms, and other administrative documents accurately.
• Assist with billing and financial transactions, including collecting payments and internal payment processes
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth communication and coordination of patient care.

Customer Service Excellence:

• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing their needs and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
• Handle patient complaints or difficult situations in a calm and effective manner, seeking appropriate resolutions.
• Anticipate and respond to patient needs, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their visit.
• Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the practice, making patients feel valued and cared for.

Qualifications and Skills:

To excel in this role, we are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and skills:

• Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar customer service role is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and welcoming demeanour.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in R4 is preferred
• Knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and insurance processes is a plus.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and willingness to contribute as a team player.
