Job Details

I have a fantastic opportunity for a Management Accountant working for a great company on the outskirts of Exeter.

A rare and exciting opportunity to join one of the region’s most innovative and successful property developers with further plans to expand has arisen based in a fantastic location in Exeter!

With an impressive property portfolio including residential developments, business parks and industrial units, this business has built a reputation for delivering unique and sustainable living and working environments and are passionate about contributing to the residential and business communities the create.

Due to succession planning, the key position of Management Accountant has arisen which is an integral role to the business, reporting into the Finance Director.

The Job

This position has overall responsibility for preparing, developing and reporting findings from management information which will help shape and assist in recommendations and decision making by the business.

Duties will include:

• Preparation of monthly accounts including P & L, Cash Flow and Balance Sheets
• Providing Management Reports
• Preparing information for month and year end
• Involvement in annual budgeting and forecasting
• VAT returns
• Reviewing and implementing accounting processes and procedures

The Person

Working in vibrant and fast moving business, you should be self motivated, driven and keen to contribute to the success of the team. As an experienced Management Accountant, you will understand how businesses operate, have the ability to manage risk, make decisions and collaborate with a diverse team.

Experience & skills required:

• Part or full qualification - CIMA/ACA/ACCA
• Experience in similar role ideally within the property and/or construction sector
• Thorough understanding of management information and systems
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Fully IT literate with working knowledge of Excel, Sage & Xero
