Job description
The Center for Coastal Resources Management has a general mission to support informed decision-making on resource management issues at all levels of government, including private and corporate citizens. At CCRM , we conduct actionable science. Actionable science links science to action with the aim of improving the quality of life for society and includes not only information, but also guidance on the appropriate use of that information. This means that our research and expertise help shape environmental and economic policy decisions. CCRM is providing Actionable Science towards the goal of resilient and thriving communities, sustainable fisheries, clean water, and healthy productive ecosystems in the Commonwealth.
Position Summary
The Assistant Research Scientist leads in the development, conduct and reporting of research related to the Center mission. The Assistant Research Scientist also leads the provision of technical advice and training on multiple issues to diverse audiences. The position serves as lead and point of contact for Center advisory services to the legislature and state agencies on coastal resources issues. The Assistant Research Scientist participates in the strategic planning and management of the Center and Center projects and assumes responsibility for directing project teams and managing project budgets as needed.

Advertised Pay Range up to $72,000

All hiring rates are commensurate with relevant experience up to the advertised amount considering internal alignment. This position has an established starting rate.
