Job title: Lead Project Controller Location: Broad Oak, Portsmouth; We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role. Salary: Up to £49,000 depending on skills and experience What you'll be doing: Supporting the project controls manager in leading a team of project control professionals to:
- Establish and manage project schedules
- Track spend and control project costs
- Implement and utilise Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies
- Support the identification and management of risks and opportunities
- Analyse project information to enable early identification of problems and then implement mitigation actions
- Drive ownership and manage changes of the work scope tasks throughout the project team
Your skills and experiences: - Experience of working within a Project environment
- Experience creating and maintaining project schedules using toolsets such as MSP, Open Plan or P6
- Knowledge of principles of Earned Value Management techniques
- Knowledge of risk, opportunity and change management
- A formal project management qualification such as APMP, PMQ, PMP or Prince 2
- Line management experience

The Combat Systems Project Control team: Joining this team as a Lead Project Controller you will be supporting in the Type 26 Combat Systems portfolio, with direct responsibility for up to 5 Project Controllers, the team will be responsible for the Project Control Systems within Type 26 Combat Systems. You will have the chance to work with a range of people within Combat Systems such as Project Managers, Engineers, and Control Account Managers, as well as interact with the wider build programme.
