This role will have overall responsibility for the sales channels of a specific region, delivering against recruitment targets.
Working with the Head of International Recruitment on the development and delivery of a targeted regional recruitment plan, designed to increase applications and enrolments for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at Buckinghamshire New University, in line with our strategic student recruitment objectives.
You will possess a high level of self-motivation and a sales-focused approach to working, as owner of all markets in a specified region of international recruitment.
The role holder will need to have a strong understanding of student recruitment with experience of international markets and a thorough understanding of UKVI compliance policy.

Job Purpose:
Contributing to the development and delivery of a targeted international recruitment plan, designed to increase applications and enrolments for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at Buckinghamshire New University, in line with our strategic student recruitment objectives.
Main Duties & Responsibilities of the role:
Leading the development and implementation of student recruitment plans for a specified target region overseas, in line with directorate policies and taking into consideration wider institutional student recruitment targets and objectives.
Account managing a network of educational agents within the assigned target markets. This includes the recruitment and selection of educational agencies, performance monitoring, and provision of ongoing training and support.
Promoting Bucks New University overseas by organising, delivering and evaluating a variety of recruitment, outreach and conversion activities, designed to increase the number of applications and enrolments to the University.
Preparing and delivering engaging presentations and workshops for a variety of stakeholders including prospective students, applicants, agents/advisers and other key stakeholders in the student recruitment process.
To develop online and offline content with Marketing colleagues for use in the promotion and delivery of recruitment events.
To provide support in the development of the University’s key international strategic areas of customer relationship management, marketing and communication, digital and social media, scholarships and bursaries, portfolio development and partnerships.
Attending recruitment fairs and making school visits overseas, providing accurate information on the University and its courses to prospective students and reporting on findings.
Keeping actively informed of trends and developments in secondary and vocational education in the UK and overseas, providing suggestions as to what activities and resources Buckinghamshire New University could offer in response to these.
Networking with overseas recruitment agents (individuals and larger scale companies). This will include the development of these partnerships/agreements and the issuing of standard Buckinghamshire New University legal contracts and updating ways of working dependent on market trends.
Acting as an advisor, providing professional advice to the academic teams on their schools and outreach activities including the appropriate targeting and evaluation of activities and delivery of activities where appropriate, as well as other departments within the university.
Networking with colleagues in other HEIs in respect of best practice with regards to student recruitment.
Ensuring BNU’s network of agents/counsellors remain compliant and act in accordance with BNU’s policies by reviewing their operation, student applications submitted to the university, and the students success rate when they study at BNU, particularly those in high risk markets
Directly assist students at application stage.
Work in conjunction with the Compliance team to ensure students adhere to UKVI policies.
To undertake international travel as and when needed, anticipated to be a minimum of 12 weeks per year.
Provide supervision and support for International Officers and academic colleagues travelling overseas.
Undertake any other responsibilities as required by the Head of International Recruitment or the Directorate Senior Management Team
Comply with relevant legislative and other requirements (e.g., the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR; Health and Safety; UKVI; and Equality and Diversity) in all working practices
Such other duties temporarily or on a continuing basis, as may reasonably be required.
