Job description

Reporting to the Cluster Marketing Manager, this role plays a pivotal role feeding into & supporting the pipeline and leading the flywheel process to ensure wins across the Must Win Battles (MWBs). The role will be responsible for delivering in line with the 3 year growth strategy and have a broad remit and responsibilities within respective segment(s) Birds Eye Vegetables & Meat Free

Commercial Strategy Execution

Executes the local commercial plan to deliver the Must Win Battles (MWB) and/or key commercial priorities in the Cluster. For Global MWB, uses the global MWB blueprints in line with the Flywheel framework, and for local MWBs, executes the local blueprints and local execution plans in line with Strat Plan objectives.

Act at pace, hold others to account and demonstrate the drive and energy to deliver projects on time and to expected quality. Keeping things simple to act fast is important, so it is critical that issues are quickly identified and solutions identified & implemented that translate into tangible results. In line with this, supports the analysis of commercial plan performance across the Flywheel and recommends appropriate remedial actions where required to ensure success, escalating any risks or opportunities.

Be able to develop compelling innovation concepts, that are co-created with consumers to uncover true insights and identify clear benefits and reasons to believe, taking advantage also of disruptive techniques and stimulus to trigger unexpected ideas using influence from outside the traditional references.

 

Win across our Flywheel

Identify and assess performance as a part of the flywheel process to inform strategy for cluster and working with clusters to build knowledge & innovation to ensure a continuous loop of learning & delivery. Challenge the status quo, seeking and implementing new learnings to continuously improve business performance and share best practice across the cluster.

Understand commercial data and able to support translation into the growth plan & MWBs, supporting wider cluster strategy.

Ensuring wins with our brands by supporting the 360 degree brand activation plans in the Cluster, working in close collaboration with stakeholders, leveraging central assets and working within brand guidelines. Being responsible also for metrics in the Win with our Brands quadrant for Comms creation in case of local MWBs and implementation in case of Central MWBs.

Partners closely with the Cluster Marketing Manager & stakeholders to deliver local Portfolio Strategy within global parameters and in line with Strat Plan.

Creates and collates first class trade presentation materials & data to bring to life our brand and innovation plans with our customers, so we can win with our retailers.

Leads the implementation of appropriate channel solutions across our portfolio to maximise relevant growth opportunities.

Works collaboratively to support the implementation of local shopper activation plans within the Cluster, to create and amplify brand campaigns. Works in close partnership with relevant COEs (e.g. global sales, RGM) to ensure products deliver commercial targets and shopper needs.

 

Local Brand Management (if applicable)

Understand the category vision and how its key drivers are the basis for cluster, segment & brand growth, with the ability to bring it to life with stakeholders. Identifies the principles of portfolio management and space & place to be able to support the Cluster to identify opportunities for NPD within market.

Owns the execution of local brand blueprint and assets in line with Strat Plan objectives to deliver local MWBs. Lead innovation and renovation work streams, working in a cross functional team. Where required, support the management of media choices that align with and deliver the commercial plan for the local brand, feeding into the key performance and commercial KPIs.

 

Sustainability & Reputation

Understands & supports the implementation of the commercialisation plan for Sustainability across brand, customer, shopper and food. Supports the strong external relationship and networks with relevant industry bodies and associations. Understands organisational ownership of local regulatory requirements relating to products, claims and communication, ensuring we manage reputation for NF and relevant brands in markets.

 

Cross-functional and Global/Local partnerships

Working in global/ local structure, there will be collaboration team player mindset with a an ability to influencing to deliver the Cluster agenda through a matrix organisation, with marketing colleagues to deliver executions that will continue to drive the growth of the market/ segment. Builds trust and creates the conditions to enables all partnerships to deliver strong performance and work together effectively. Understanding of the basic principles of RGM PPA/ Price/ Promo and understand how the levers can work to support both innovation and renovation.

 

Financial Delivery

Supported with data and insights, accountable for ensuring the marketing budget falls in line with plan on their area of responsibility. Understanding of the financial performance, and working to maintain positive financial performance in line with financial expectations & targets. Take the lead in team to track our non-working A&P budget to support the portfolio team track and manage effectively.
