Job description
A full time position within Highways Infrastructure and Fleet has arisen for a Estimator/Surveyor to assist the Service Manager to provide a contract quantity surveying service, including the provision of stage valuations, measurement and re-measurement, variation identification and validation.
The successful candidates will be expected to assist the Service Manager in the production, control, planning & purchasing functions to ensure that estimates reflect the price, quality and compatibility of resources available /specified.
To supply quotes for all stakeholder ad-hoc work requests and to support the Highway Infrastructure Group Leader in pricing all tenders ensuring they are submitted in the necessary time frame compliance with the requirements of Statute and regulations for this service area.
Compiling, maintaining, and developing data and systems including the reactive maintenance works management operating programme and ensuring compliance with requirements of the New Roads and Street works Act 1984.undertake such personal training as may be deemed necessary to meet the duties and responsibilities of the post.
Monitoring and controlling of incidental costs and charges for both reactive and planned works programmes. Activate material orders associated with estimates, based upon requisitions, specifications, competitive quotation, or accepted price.
Starting salary is depending on qualifications and experience.
