Job Title: Year 1 Teacher
Are you passionate about laying the foundation for young learners' academic and personal development? Do you excel at creating engaging and nurturing learning environments for Year 1 students? If so, we are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teachers to join our secondary schools in Harlow, starting at Easter.
About Us: While traditionally secondary schools, our Harlow campuses are expanding to include primary education. As a Year 1 Teacher, you will have the unique opportunity to be part of this exciting expansion, helping to shape the academic journey of our youngest learners and build a strong foundation for their future success.
Responsibilities: - Plan and deliver creative and stimulating lessons that cater to the diverse needs and interests of Year 1 students, using a combination of play-based and structured activities.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued, respected, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and support staff to differentiate instruction, provide targeted interventions, and ensure the academic progress and well-being of all students.
- Establish positive partnerships with parents and caregivers, providing regular communication and opportunities for involvement in their child's learning journey.
- Assess student progress and attainment against age-related expectations, using formative and summative assessment data to inform teaching and planning.
Requirements: - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching in Key Stage 1, preferably in Year 1.
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and a commitment to providing a rich and holistic learning experience for young children.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
- Enthusiasm for ongoing professional development and a willingness to contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and initiatives.
- Dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, with a sound understanding of child protection policies and procedures.
