Job description

This job posting is for a Childcare Worker position in Hove, East Sussex, with The Lioncare Group. The role involves working in Therapeutic Homes and supporting children in our Therapeutic School. The position requires a genuine passion for caring for vulnerable children and helping them achieve their full potential. Below are some key details about the role:

Shift Pattern: Early/Late (7:30 am – 3:30 pm / 3:30 pm – 10:30 pm)

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Immediately reporting concerns or allegations about inappropriate or unacceptable practices.
Acting as a positive role model for children both within the home and in the local community.
Assessing and delivering services based on good professional practice.
Building positive relationships with the local community, personnel, and agencies associated with the home.
Creating positive links between the local community and the home for the children's participation.
Encouraging and participating in various pursuits followed by children.
Assisting with play, creativity, and activities within the home, including celebrations.
Maintaining effective care and control of children through the promotion of positive behaviors.
