Job description

Senior Veterinary Surgeon Warwickshire

Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking to step into a senior role with a fantastic group in Warwickshire including a 24-hour hospital?

Purovets are working with a group that has grown to a 7-site practice with an experienced team of 30 vets and 40 nurses. This is a brilliant opportunity to be part of the leadership team at a busy fast-growing clinic with a close-knit team and to be able to shape its development. This is a clinical role mainly, but also will involve utilising leadership and management skills with full support from the wider leadership team.

The practices are highly equipped with a hydrotherapy unit, CT, video endoscopy, laparoscopy and an orthopaedic service enabling them to provide the highest standards of patient care whilst supporting their vets with a wide range of interests. With a diverse range of certificate holders, they are also keen to offer their vets and nurses support and mentorship to explore and complete further CPD and certification in their area of choice.

Their dedicated night service is situated at the central hospital site, providing case continuity and maintaining high clinical standards. The out-of-hours service only supports their own clinics, ensuring that all patients receive a high level of care. The vet team is led by 4 Clinical Directors who ensure that individuals feel supported and that teams collaborate and encourage discussion in regular M&M and vet meetings. There are two different weekend rota options available; 1 in 3 Saturdays, 8.30am - 5pm at the hospital, or a 17-week rota consisting of 1 full weekend from 8:30am 6.30pm, 2 Saturday mornings from 8:30am 12pm and 1 Saturday morning for 2 hours.

This clinic is based in the historic town of Stratford-upon-Avon, home to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, the river Avon and many restaurants and amenities. Based in the beautiful county of Warwickshire, you will have the best of both worlds with historic castles, beautiful countryside, including the nearby Cotswolds, and the City of Birmingham only 30 minutes' drive and London a direct train away. In addition, Birmingham Airport is very close by for those wishing to travel during their weeks off.
