Job description

As the With Profits Valuation Manager, you will manage a team of qualified and part-qualified actuaries to deliver the actuarial valuation and reporting services. This role is a fixed-term contract for a period of 12 months.

Key duties (including, but not limited to):

• You will be responsible for managing people, work prioritisation and delivery in accordance with service and quality standards
• You will maintain compliance with all required risk control, management and reporting requirements in line with business risk appetite, including process documentation and EUC compliance
• You will be responsible for providing technical support and coaching to qualified and part-qualified actuaries, to ensure that high standards are achieved and maintained
• You will perform the quarterly Solvency II and annual UK GAAP valuations, including analyses of change of surplus and capital
• You will support external audit to achieve audit clearance with no material issues
• You will complete other BAU work as required, including regulator information requests, model specification and UAT, methodology and basis change impact assessments, surveys, etc.
• Qualified actuary (FIA/FFA or equivalent)
• Strong technical background and hands-on experience in UK financial services of actuarial valuation of with-profits products
