Senior Sprinkler Design Engineer

Salary/Package - £68,000 - £70,000 Basic + Benefits Package

Location - Northampton

Permanent Position ( Hybrid Working )

Are you a skilled and motivated sprinkler design engineer looking for a new opportunity? If so, we have an established and privately owned fire sprinkler design, installation and maintenance organisation looking to recruit in the Northampton area. This can be a hybrid working position where 3 days in the office and 2 from home is being offered.

Job Responsibilities

As a Sprinkler Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing fire sprinkler system designs tailored to the unique requirements of their clients - both commercial and residential markets. Your primary duties will include:

1. Collaborating with clients, architects, and project teams to gather design requirements.
2. Conducting site surveys and inspections to assess the existing conditions and determine design feasibility.
3. Designing fire sprinkler systems in compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
4. Creating detailed system drawings, hydraulic calculations, and material specifications.
5. Coordinating with installation teams to ensure proper implementation of designs.
6. Conducting performance tests and inspections to validate system functionality.
7. Providing technical support and guidance to project managers and field personnel.

Qualifications and Skills

To be considered, you must meet the following minimum qualifications:

1. LPCB Basic & Intermediate qualification as a minimum.
2. Proven experience in designing commercial fire sprinkler systems.
3. Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
6. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
