Job description

General assistant

Duties include:
• Washing up and cleaning
• Assist in the preparation of breakfast and lunch within the facilities of our onsite canteen
• Assist in preparation of beverages both hot and cold
• Keeping a clean and sanitised kitchen
• Ensuring all food and other items are stored correctly
• Assist with general hosting duties
• Covering for Manager’s holiday

Training:
Inhouse training will be given by our Canteen Manager on use of all equipment
Taking payments (Cash and card) using till
You will also need to complete hygiene level 1 and 2 if you do not already have it
Allergy training will also be provided

Hours of works:
Monday to Friday – 09.00hrs – 14:00hrs ( available to cover holidays: 07.00hrs-14.00hrs)
Rate of pay:
Current minimum wage

The preferred candidate should be self-motivated and have a friendly and positive outlook, who can work on their own initiative but also work well within a small team, with excellent customer service at all times. Must be over 18 years of age due to equipment use. You will need to be able to work with cash and card for the till. Ideally the preferred candidate will have experience working in the food industry but not essential
