Job description

Lasered Components are in search of great team members to work in our factory located on the Springwood estate in Braintree. Full training on the job is given along with the opportunity of a trial shift post a successful interview. Operatives will learn how to use state of the art technology to ensure the best quality cut metal components and gain valuable knowledge in relation to lean production processes.

All of our roles are permanent contracts offering secure and long term careers to individuals whilst we continue to grow.

Tasks and responsibilities

* To ensure the smooth and efficient running of production by loading and unloading material on and off a laser.
* To use all forms of laser cutting technology available to the business.
* To ensure the best quality of all types of materials and finishes that the business has to offer to its customers as well as full knowledge of all grades, thicknesses and finishes we have to offer.
* To perform quality, quantity and dimensional inspections on all parts produced on the laser.
* To complete company documentation via database system.
* Perform basic machine maintenance as directed by a Senior Operative / Supervisor.
* Ensuring a safe and clean workspace and to abide by Health & Safety standards
* Any other duties designated by Management.

* Attention to detail – you’ll need to be able to follow operational guidelines and read batch numbers and pair them up.
* Methodical approach to problem solving and ability to use own initiative.
* Ability to work under pressure, prioritising workload and multitasking.
* Ability to adapt to a culture of a factory environment with an excellent work ethic, where reliability is a given at all times.
* Ability to learn through on the job training, to take constructive direction and apply it to the role.
* Excellent time keeping

Desirable Attributes
* Full Clean driving license
* Experience in Health & Safety Training
* Basic computer skills
* Located in Braintree or nearby
* Physically able to undertake strenuous manual handling tasks

Work Pattern: Monday to Thursday, 1.30pm-12am (10-hour shift).
Job Type: Full-time, permanent basis
