Job description

Would you like to work for a prominent company in the Folkestone area? We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a team handling a range of projects, including civil & building works, automation, track, catenary, power supply, signalling and telecoms. You will be experienced, highly motivated and responsible for delivering track and tunnel projects, ensuring the safety and integrity of the systems are maintained and developed. You will be working office hour day shifts, Monday to Friday, but with the flexibility to work unsocial hours where projects require.

Salary circa £55,000 per annum, depending upon experience - and benefits are vast!

The ideal candidate will: carry out the mission to the highest safety standards in compliance with all relevant policies and principles; meet customer expectations in relation to quality and standards on time and budget; apply CSM and CDM regulations where required; maintain project documentation portfolio; define and evaluate technical solutions; analyse risks; estimate costs etc. You will also be accountable for monitoring and reporting, safety, performance, site visits, briefings, cost and time forecasting, and presentations. You will utilise your problem-solving skills, act as a role model and mentor, establish good relationships in all areas, work in an organised and methodical way, and be adaptable.

Qualifications and Experience

• You must have a University Degree, BTEC Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical, Building or Civils with a minimum of five years' post qualification experience as a Project Manager or Employer's Agent.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in a civil, industrial or railway engineering environment leading or managing contractors.
• Knowledge and experience of railway engineering and an operational environment is desirable.
• A Project Manager qualification would be desirable.
• Bi-lingual or a high level of English and French, both written and spoken would be a distinct advantage.
• IOSH Managing Safety qualification is desirable.
• A full valid Driving Licence and Passport is essential.
