We are looking for a night shift Workshop Supervisor for our busy BCA Geddington Road site. This is our newest opportunity to join a successful and high volume Bodyshop / Workshop Team and within this role, you will oversee workshop team, which will be reporting directly to you.

Our workshop currently employs 20+ Workshop Technicians and Bodyshop Technicians, but we are constantly growing and so will your team.

An ideal candidate for this role will have a previous experience of working within a workshop or bodyshop environment and have supervisory experience. Because of this, you will understand the day-to-day operations of the workshop and will be able to lead, manage and motivate your team to achieve the targets. Workshop Supervisor reports directly to the Workshop Manager.

Salary: Up to £40,672.00 per annum

Working Hours: NIGHT SHIFT Monday-Thursday 6pm-6am

Main responsibilities:

Supervise and motivate a team of 20+ bodyshop and workshop technicians, reviewing the daily tasks and ensuring that the team meets the targets and KPI’s whilst completing the work required to the highest standards
Co-ordinate day to day operations within the bodyshop / workshop and liaise with internal departments to maximise efficiencies
Manage staff absences, approving holidays, manage staff meeting, review staff performance and skill-test potential new starters
Promote and lead the health, safety and welfare of all employees within the workshop
Implement company policies and/or customer requirements within workshop environment as required
To provide duty of care to staff working under your control
To ensure all staff working under your control abide by the site rules
Ensure all vehicle are parked within SLA’s provided by the individual Customer

Skills and experience required:

Minimum 2 years of previous supervisory experience (essential)
Previous bodyshop or workshop experience (essential)
Qualified to City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3 (essential) or experienced as a Bodyshop Technician (Panel Beater, Strip Fitter, Painter, Prepper, Smart Repairer)
Own a Full UK Driving Licence
Computer literate with experience of Microsoft Office- Outlook and Excel
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
