Head of Academy at Olive AP Academy - Thurrock

Salary: Leadership scale 19-26 (Fringe)

• The final salary will be on a five-point range within this scale, dependent on experience and qualifications
• There is potential for outstanding candidates to negotiate a higher salary range than the one advertised

Contract: Permanent, full-time

Start date: 1 September 2024 or sooner if possible

We are looking for a permanent Head of Academy who will undertake the day-to-day management and leadership of Olive AP Academy – Thurrock (OA-Th). They will ensure the vision and values of the trust are delivered so that OA-Th is a beacon of best practice in the education and care of its pupils, who have experienced considerable difficulty in mainstream schools, so that they can re-engage with education, make good progress, achieve academically, and, wherever possible, return to a mainstream education. Other main duties include leadership; learning and teaching; managing both people and resources; safeguarding children; managing partnerships within the community, industry and the wider world; accountability and transparency.
