Our client operates a UK nationwide delivery service for palletised goods. Offering a comprehensive range of time sensitive & economy services they are at the forefront of their market. Established in 1989 despite their rapid growth they still retain their family presence with three generations involved in the business to this day.An exciting opportunity has arisen for a BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – UK PALLETS covering SCOTLAND and NORTH EAST Region. Reporting directly to the Regional Sales Manager you will focus on the retention & development of a portfolio of customers serviced by both the clients FALKIRK, SCOTLAND and DURHAM depots. You will also be responsible for sourcing, qualifying & gaining new business within these areas. The role will demand the development of profitable, long- term relationships at the highest level with customers across a range of sectors. The ideal candidate will have a real ‘presence’ & will be able to present at board level & be comfortable speaking to key decision makers. Because our client has a wide range of products they would welcome candidates that have a proven track record in closing business within specific markets. i.e. PALLETS, HAULAGE, EUROPEAN ROAD, EXPRESS PARCELS etc. Preferably you will have an established client base with local knowledge & contacts. Finally the successful candidate must be presentable, good communicator, focused & above all with a ‘must win’ attitude.
