As the E&I field service engineer you will travel to customer sites to maintain and /or repair CT Additive Addition Systems (AAS) and new Catalyst Withdrawal Systems (CWS). AAS consist of product storage hopper and ATEX or UL rated PLC based control systems for adding fluidized catalyst products into FCC process. CWS consist of multiple storage hoppers, heat exchangers, and ATEX or UL rated PLC based control system for withdrawing hot catalyst from FCC process.

Responsible for performing planned or emergency service calls to customer sites (refineries) primarily in the UK and EU.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct/repair mechanical, electrical, or process problems related to AAS.
Analysis data generated by AAS to diagnose mechanical, electrical, or process problems related to AAS.
Perform start-up, commissioning, and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) of new AAS.
Train refinery operators AAS functionality.
Perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) on PLC based control systems manufactured by JM vendors, at vendor location sites.
Scope
Work independently on specific Field Service projects within required time frame, but with support of entire CSD, FS, and Equipment Engineering teams when needed.
Normal on-site Field Service activities estimated at 50%. However, first two years may require up to 70% travel at times to help catch-up with preventive maintenance activities.
Remote office Field Service activities (troubleshooting via emails / Teams calls, etc) estimated at 50%.
Experience working with and troubleshooting PLC based control systems, including uploading and downloading project files. Essential
Experience reading and understanding electrical schematics and process P&IDs - Essential
Experience with various processes such as pressure control, flow control - Essential
Experience and working knowledge of ATEX standards - Essential.
Experience with risk assessment, safe systems of work, management of change – Desirable
