Job description

The University's Research and Innovation Services (RIS) forms a key component in the delivery of the University's strategy. RIS is a central function, supporting, enabling and promoting all aspects of research, impact, economic development, commercialisation and innovation across our academic community and external stakeholders. Working in partnership we deliver the University and Schools' strategic priorities creating an inclusive research culture and environment where everyone can thrive, excel, and contribute to grow our excellence in research, innovation, and impact regionally, nationally, and globally.

The University of Dundee has been successful in securing a flM Institutional Funding for Research Culture (IFRC) award from Wellcome. The IFRC will advance strategies to sustain positive research cultures by underpinning a portfolio of activities that will break barriers, support career transitions, and develop a caring inclusive interdisciplinary community of researchers. It will support the development of listening leaders and has core initiatives to flexibly support the careers of women, BAME, early career researchers and primary caregivers. We will engage 'Hidden' researchers from the many University roles who make key often unrecognised contributions.

We are looking to appoint an experienced Research Culture and Environment Administrator to ensure the effective delivery of the Wellcome IFRC, to ensure alignment and support wider research culture activities across the University. You will provide excellent levels of support and service to all stakeholders, ensuring that work is carried out within the University's procedures and policy guidelines. You will maintain extensive working contacts across the University and establish yourself as the point of contact for the area. This post is supported by external funding, with an end date of 30 April 2026, for this fixed term role.
